The Reading Record
This editable form will help you measure and track a student's reading level. We recommend using Mcall-Crabb Standard Test Lessons in Reading passages and entering at least 100 words of the passage into the template. More information on using the Reading Record can be found in the Companion Volumes of each grade level for all First Editions of Literacy Essentials. Turn to the Reading section and find the "Assess & Track Reading Progress" page.
Handwriting Paper
These handwriting pages accompany the instructions for handwriting in the Literacy Essentials Teacher Guides, Grades K-3. They can be found in our curriculum in the Companion Volume, and are also here for easy access and printing. They cover short clock stroke, tall clock stroke, short line stroke, dash line stroke, tall line stroke, and slant stroke. Please note: Following the Teacher Guide language of instruction is essential for students to learn to form beautiful, consistent letters.
